Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV chef and an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde hair and an ebullient appearance, shares tips on how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality at home using simple methods. Chef Burrell studied and worked in the best New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. While growing up in the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. After earning an English and Communication diploma at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the business of restaurant by enroling in The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent my most memorable time in my life. The Culinary Institute of America was a great location to learn. Following graduation, Chef Burrell spent a period of time in Italy studying at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy the chef gained an appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine. It had a significant effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten children's lives who are facing problems. Additionally, she is a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador which promotes education about the condition known as juvenile diabetes. Burrell speaks on her culinary passion and shares her experiences in the food world when she is in the United States for the roles of mentors and speakers. Anne has always been grateful she had the opportunity to share her love that she had for cooking with others.
